Who is Jesus?
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Jesus is the Son of God, who was sent by God the Father to earth as a baby to be born and live among us. His purpose was to reconcile God to His people, and then to help us be reconciled (put in right relationships) with all other people. When Jesus died to undo the curse of sin – your sins, my sins, the world’s sins – it made this transformation of our world possible. This act of sacrifice and His resurrection makes possible the Gift of Salvation, which Jesus offers freely to anyone who believes in Him. This makes us recipients of both eternal life, and the hope of God whose Spirit comes to live inside of us, setting us free and making us new.
You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13
If you want to know more about who Jesus is, we encourage you to speak to that family member, friend, or neighbor who you know is a Christian. The one who has invited you to church time and time again. If you don’t have anyone to speak with then we welcome you to visit us on a Sunday morning or call us during the week. We would be happy to speak with you and walk beside you as you search for the answer to this question.
